April 16th, 2021

I hope you’re doing well and are able to enjoy this mild spring weather we’re experiencing.

We are excited that our staff have been willing to become vaccinated for COVID-19 to promote patient safety in the Center. Our current staff vaccination rate is approximately 76% as of today’s report.  We continue to promote and encourage staff and patient vaccination and hope this is encouraging to you.

As previously reported, we are now able to provide COVID-19 vaccination on an on-going basis to staff and patients. We will be receiving doses of vaccine from our pharmacy partner.  We will not be receiving the vaccine that is manufactured by Johnson & Johnson while it is being studied further by the FDA. It is our hope that making the vaccine available on-site will encourage continued vaccination participation among our patients and staff.

A patient from the Center has received conflicting COVID-19 test results while hospitalized. As a precaution, the Center is treating this case as an outbreak until further direction is received from the local Health Department or until the patient’s test results are conclusive.

County Positivity Rate: Increased to 4.8%.
Testing Frequency for Staff and Patients: Staff and patients are tested every 3-7 days during the outbreak until the Center is 14 days without a positive test result.
PPE: The supply remains adequate. Staff receive ongoing education on appropriate PPE utilization.
Visitation: Virtual, window and scheduled outdoor and indoor visitation are all currently available. To schedule a visit, click here: https://woodlands-rehab.com/patient-visitations/.
*Previous cumulative data on COVID-19 may be found on the Center’s website: https://woodlands-rehab.com/.

As always, please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have.

Sincerely,

Angela Baldwin, LNHA
